The Derelict Longhouse

This derelict Welsh Longhouse is about a twenty minute walk from my house in Machen, nr Caerphilly (South Wales, UK). It probably dates from the 17th century. Essentially it's a house with a barn for the cattle built on the side to prevent cattle theft which was a hazard at the time and kept safe the livelihood of the farmer.

It's a building I enjoy photographing the through the seasons. Such a shame that it has fallen into such decay but it's a few hundred metres from services.

Camera:  Leica M6 ttl(1999) with Voigtlander Ultron 28mm F2 lens
Film:         Kodak Colour ASA 200
