My beloved Oslo: Colour harmony

The city environment agency plants 220 000 summer flowers every year, and the last years it plants flowers that attracts bumblebees, bees and butterflies.

87 species of bees, wasps, beetles and butterflies are extinct from Norway. I hope the city's effort can help to save those on the red list.

The butterfly is a painted lady butterfly.  In the autumn they migrate 14,500 km round trip from Africa to the Artic Circle in a series of steps by six generations. Nature is amazing!
