Now With Flowers.

On Thursday, in Morningside, I saw some agapanthus for sale. I'd never seen these as cut flowers, only as expensive plants in garden centres. I was delighted! I really wanted to do a blue still-life with flowers.

I saw a couple of little blue dishes in a charity shop and could visualise the shot. On Sunday afternoon I went back for the flowers on my way home. I hoped to stand them in the studio until the flowers opened. Unfortunately, before I reached the studio, many of the unopened buds dropped off and there was no sign of any of the remaining ones opening.

I had to go ahead with my idea, anyway. Just sorry the flowers aren't glorious blue balls!
