Thistle

As with many towns Stirling's street level architecture is pretty bland and uninspiring. But, again as with many towns, if you bother to look up there's always something more interesting. This thistle is on a building now occupied by Nationwide Building Society. I'm afraid I can't find out what used to be there or why it was so nicely embellished. Just because the Victorians could I suppose. How different Stirling must have looked 150 years ago.

Great time last night. All the food, and the company of course, was magnificent.

Fencing contractors coming to have a look at how the garden can be made more secure and puppy-proof.

Wishing everyone a good weekend
