Looking out

Chilling out in the coolness of our summer house. I seldom sit in here but it is a lovely spot to sit quietly and watch the birds on the feeders. At the moment there is a little robin and a coal tit. They are unaware of my nearby presence.

We had the summer house built about 18 years ago and it has been decorated in different themes over the years. I have never been to Morocco but like the Moroccan style of furniture and interiors.

We did our own take on a Moroccan room and tented the ceiling with different coloured voile . Ian made a wooden daybed and i furnished it with a variety of cushions. We acquired two kelim floor cushions from a charity shop along with throws, lamps and bric a brac. It was great fun searching for these things.

Friends, Iain and Francis, visited today and we had lunch in the Breeze House which is a big gazebo with a thatched roof. It was lovely and cool there. Now that they have left I am relaxing on the daybed looking out at the garden. I love being in the garden. It is my favourite place and this is the best of both worlds, as it is too hot to sit outside.

My extra is the summer house from the garden.
