Slide Fun

It’s James ’big birthday. And it’s sunny and warm – a perfect day to head off to Lake Geneva (Leman to the French).  Excenevex (try spelling that at a quiz night) is a village on the lake shore which has sandy beaches and perfect shallow water going out further than you need so it’s  safe for children. Plus you can hire pedalos with slides fixed on them for whizzing down into the water. Beach cafes do a great lunch and the freied fishes of the lake (which turned out to be whitebait) was a big hit.

A prompt to the waitress ensured that an ice cream with sparkler arrived for James so we could all toast him. A few glasses of rosé washed it all down and we took it in turns to have a doze/ swim with Florence/ walk crying babies.

Back at the chalet a raclette supper rounded off a great birthday for James.
