Tuba

A doctor friend of ours who has taken up the Tuba in retirement, and been rather successful it seems. I loved the reflection of his jazzy waistcoat. Playing with a jazz group in the rain!
We went to a local village fete and in between downpours we took part in the raffle, and the tombola where I won a book about golf. Luckily I managed to palm it off on someone who actually plays the game.
We had tea and cake and there was a rather bonkers dog show, the dog with the waggiest tail and that type of thing.
We looked around someone’s beautiful garden and walked home along the old railway line spotting good areas of blackberries which will be just right for picking very soon.
