Squirrel Blip Friday .....

.... being shy.

Since Monday is a holiday (Labor Day) here in the States R took today off so that he would have a four day weekend!  We have made plans to go to the Lehigh Valley Zoo!

I wanted to get my Squirrel Blip Friday shot before we went but most of the squirrels weren't cooperating this morning.  I finally got a picture of this shy squirrel right before we left for the zoo. 

We got to the Lehigh Valley Zoo at about 10:00 a.m. .... right when they open for the day .... and had a wonderful day!  I have added a collage in the extras of all the wonderful sights!  An explanation of the largest picture of the giraffe in the upper left:  the zoo offers a giraffe feeding two times per day.  There is an area that is handicapped accessible that is used for anyone needing it.  There was a woman with these two other women that was in a wheelchair.  They were all feeding Murphy the giraffe and having a great time!

Some of the other animals featured in the collage are river otters (who were having a grand time showing off for everybody!), a black swan, a Nubian goat, a red kangaroo with her Joey, a lorikeet (bird) and a scimitar-horned oryx.

After leaving the zoo we stopped at Costco for a few things ... including peanuts for the squirrels and chipmunks!  We were home in plenty of time to enjoy the pool and have supper in.
