Tiny Tuesday ....

.... Swallowtail caterpillar. 

Some of you may recall that I posted a picture of a female black Swallowtail laying eggs on our parsley .... left hand side of collage third picture down.

This is the direct result of that day!!

We have been watching the parsley ever since.  I have counted at least 13 caterpillars on the parsley at various stages of their instars.  We have super tiny ones and ones that are nearing their pupation stage.  I can't wait to see how they pupate as we have not raised these butterflies before.  And have not seen a swallowtail chrysalis in the wild.
