Lido d Ossuccio

This morning we walked over to the Lido di Ossuccio expecting it to be fairly quiet on a Saturday morning. we could not have been more wrong. There was a swimming event taking place. All the little white and red dots in the photograph are small marker buoys attached to people about to swim around the Isola Comacina. The water cannot have been terribly warm, and many of the participants were wearing wet suits.

We were not tempted to join them, instead we had a light lunch before walking back to Lenno for an ice cream
