A Tiny Detail

Dear Diary,

I brought Mary to the bus yesterday for her trip back to Massachusetts.  The house is very quiet this morning.  We had a lovely four days, we always do.  Now, I can return to the small details in my life that catch my eye, like this tiny geranium bud on my front porch.  It looked like a rose bud to me.

John will be here this morning to do a final deadheading.  The great fall cutback will begin next month but there are some things still blooming so I will enjoy them for as long as I can.
