The Dasylirion longissimum currently flowering in The World Garden is a native of Mexico. 

Facts:

It is also known as the Mexican Grass Tree.

This one is the only one known to be growing outside of Mexico.

The huge flower spike only appears once every 25 years!

Bees love it, the top was swarming with them.

Next weekend Tom will be giving tours of the garden during the Mexican Weekend. I think this might get a mention...
