Roxburgh Gorge cycle trail

We've been aiming to cycle this trail for a while but you have to organise the 11 km boat trip in the middle of the trail to join the two ends. Today was the day. Thank goodness for my ebike but our companions had a tough ride. The second half was a hard gring for them.

However, it was a wonderful cycle and boat ride. The driver pointed out so many special spots like the gold miners structures they called houses, and Mrs Herron's cottage that she lived in on her own and became a legend as she supplied food and refreshments for travellers. To live here in the freezing winters and extremely hot summers is hard to imagine. The extras are 2 of the special spots of many.
