Went to the match - 5.30pm kick off.  Newcastle were woeful.  So frustrating to watch.  They only livened up in the last 10 mins - too little too late.  They were lucky to come away with one point.

My blip shot shows a banner which came over the ground before kick off - it was being towed by a small plane.  The message is lost on me as I have no idea what it means or who was behind it  ( possibly its the work of fans of our local rivals Sunderland AFC as they are usually the ones who send these banners over ) I have added a photo of Jonjo Shelvey - the player mentioned on the banner.  I'm tagging it for Silly Saturday.  Thanks to admirer for hosting.

The weather today was warm and sunny but around 6pm it turned  chilly .  I was glad to get warm on the bus home.
