Smallest sunflower?

Everywhere gardeners are competing to grow the tallest sunflower in the land, but here in my cousin’s garden is the candidate for the smallest. Liz presumes it has grown from birdseed as it has grown close to her bird table.
We spent the day with Liz who lives not too far from our holiday hotel. We don’t see her very often, so it was good to spend time together. She and I looked at old family photographs. She has a brilliant memory, and was able to put flesh on the bones of not only pictures of her own family, but also of our younger days.
She cooked us a lovely lunch and we had a good day together.
