Gently down the stream

Toads

There are a lot of toads in the nature reserve, but you don't often see them.  They breed in the pond, which is choked up with reeds, so February is the time to spot them.  But on my walk this morning I nearly trod on this little person, sitting in the middle of the path.

I won't even try to connect this with other toads currently croaking rather aggressively elsewhere.  It's all so wearing.

Happy Thursday evening  xx
