Charming Betty over land and sea

Lots of moody scenery in Jersey today but I decided to blip this amphibious vehicle, known to me since childhood as a 'duck', which takes visitors across the causeway whether the tide is in or out, to Elizabeth Castle. This later generation of ducks is very nicely painted and this one is called 'Charming Betty'. Extras of the duck in action and her destination.

My friend and I walked miles along the beach. Very soothing for the soul. The wind is making itself heard out there tonight and I'm not especially looking forward to 'rocking' out of the island on the plane in the morning!
