New plum tree

I mentioned in yesterday’s blip that I had acquired 2 fruit trees so today I planted the Victoria plum and tomorrow hopefully I will get the pear tree in the ground.

The odd collection of items behind the tree are a fire surround taken out of our dining room a few years ago when we had a wood burner fitted and the clay pipes and pan tiles came from the family farm just before it was sold. It is hard to believe it was 3 years ago this month - much of the old steading was apparently demolished but I haven’t ever been back to see.
