12,900 Happy

....steps of joy today. 

A glorious afternoon of sunshine and blue skies, I went back to Taksim and spent happy hours retracing yesterday's steps, walking with the crowds the entire length of Istiklal Caddesi, with an art gallery at each end and quite a few street photos in between!  I love today's main pic which, for me, is quintessentially Istanbul and the infectious and unashamed joie de vivre that is the young Turk, determined to make happy, regardless of what may be behind them (in this case, literally, a derelict building) ... or in front - que sera sera.  

My own happiness concluded with a pint and a salad in a Beyoğlu bar before  the metro ride and subsequent walk back to campus, home by 20.00, satiated in every possible sense of the word.
