Pile of logs

The west coast has done us proud today. One of those days when you can see everything so clearly. I've ummed and aahed for ages over what to blip, but in the end I've gone for a large pile of logs with the mountains of Morvern on the other side of Loch Linnhe. We were most of the way round the Inchree Falls walk when I took the picture. The walk isn't really about the Inchree Falls - that undersells it. It's also a walk up one of General Wade's roads through the forest with great views over to Morvern and back towards Glencoe. We met some people in the car park when we got back, and they were wondering where to walk, so I directed them to the Walk Highlands description of the walk and sent them off with a strong recommendation.

After that, we wandered up towards Fort William and took a minor road that led us into the hills, with great views towards Ben Nevis. I could have blipped one of those pictures as well. And finally, we took the road on the north of Loch Leven to have a late lunch at the Loch Leven Seafood Cafe which deserves all the plaudits it's getting. Whilst we were there, we also discovered the pleasures of the ales produced by the River Leven brewing company, so went in search of some of those to bring home.

We're waiting and wondering now about whether there will be a sunset....

I've added Ben Nevis and a view across Loch Leven towards Glen Coe as extras.
