The Aga Saga

My Aga needs serviced before being turned on again for the winter  (it came with the house & was converted from solid fuel to oil). Michael offered to do it with instruction from Cedric who is semi-retired at 77 years young. Last Saturday was the day, but it turned out the controller was faulty, so Cedric arrived today with a new one. With that installed, they then discovered problems with some of the other pipes feeding oil into it, but too late to get replacement fittings from the plumbers merchants, as they are only open until 12.30 on Saturday.
I am beginning to think it is much more trouble than it is worth, although on a cold winter's day it makes my kitchen very cosy.
Of course Bubbles had to be in the thick of it.
