Creeping Shadows

Even the most beautiful things can create a shadow. The rose shadow creeping up the wall appears to be escaping. Seems apt as I wanted to escape today.

Building work next door made it hard to concentrate at my computer with sawing and drilling plus the additional traffic from the temporary traffic lights in front of the building site. Eventually gave in and escaped to a coffee shop late afternoon.

Feeling rather deflated this evening. After moving to a tranquil village I am now living next to a building site. Poured a big glass of red wine and trying not to think about the prospect that I may have to move again.
