T finished harvesting the maize field getting on towards midnight. The contractor's harvester had broken down twice! The showers did not stop work completely. This is it in the pit ready to be rolled by a tractor and then covered up to let it ferment and change into a nutritious feed for the livestock over the winter months.
We also passed the Farm Assurance inspection but for two medicine bottles that were out of date but that will be easily rectified. So we are ok for another year! It is difficult to trade our crops or livestock without this quality qualification to show the buyers.
T can now relax and look after his bad cold. We just hope he didn't spread it to the inspector.
