Flower Friday: Momentary

As you can see from this dripping wet cosmos, looking rather soggy and sorry for itself, it has been more than a little damp here today.  I can't remember the garden pond ever being so full, full to overflowing in fact.  I managed to snatch this shot during momentary reduction in the rain.  It didn't actually stop, it just wasn't raining quite as much.  

I heard some banging earlier today and wondered for a second whether a neighbour might be building an ark ... ;-)

The photo was taken with the aid of two flash units, so it looks a little sunnier and brighter than it would otherwise have looked.
