Very behind in blipping, will catch up next week.

So the big PG&E power shut down was a big don't know what.  I think the only thing achieved was furthering the ill feeling and deep mistrust everyone has in our (f)utility company.  Areas of our neighborhood in San Mateo County went dark for a short while but our block didn't so we didn't suffer the inconvenience that others in the Bay Area did.  Wildwood, who lives in Sonoma County, was without power for several days. 

We topped up our emergency supplies at home should there be another situation, be it earthquake or fire, so I guess that's something.
