Jeweller's Shop

The first day of our street photography workshop and a significant part of the day was spent getting lost in the Grand Bazaar here in Istanbul.  It is a large complex of shops selling all kinds of goods.

The workshop leader, Mark Seymour, is keen on including layers in a photograph, (eg foreground, middle ground, background) to give the picture depth and interest. He also encourages us to look out for reflections which can enhance the image.  I think this blip fulfils both requirements.

A good first day and, hopefully, I will have a better night's sleep tonight than I had last night when the disco next to the hotel kept me awake until 5 in the morning. The hotel has now moved me to a much better and - I think - quieter room in an annexe.
