Not the usual metal graveyard

Taken yesterday Kaiwhata, on Jim Muirson's farm. Maybe the most  remote farm on the island. We traveled on to Point Manning to view the seals and shags. The Pitt Island shag has beautiful colours and in the breeding season the colour around the eyes is more intense. We were very lucky to see one on a nest with a young chick, which it appeared to be protecting from the sun with its body. Cellphone won't allow me to change date.
