DAY TWO: NMAAHC

Dear Diary.

What an amazing day! We went to the National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC. It was another gorgeous day weather wise. The exhibits and multi-media presentations were so well done, captivating and, at times, heart wrenching. We only managed to do one half, the history half, of the museum’s offerings. We all found it emotionally exhausting. I guess I will just have to come back and see the second half!

I’ve added an extra of the beautiful Capital building at the end of the National Mall.

Today we drive to the barrier island of Assateague to see, I hope, the wild ponies.
