Our environmental issues in a few square metres.

A vast improvement on yesterday. So what did we do? Went out into the garden to hack down loads of vegetation, take out and replace a fence panel. Madness. However, before we were both poorly I’d booked the council to collect the old fence panels tomorrow. If I’d cancelled the collection I couldn’t rearrange.

We managed it and by way of relaxation went for a short stroll in the afternoon in Mote Park which has been our saviour these last several days.

Unfortunately, looking over the bridge across the River Len we saw this layer of scum consisting of loads of tiny broken down polystyrene bits, other plastics, glass bottles, cans and other detritus. It makes you weep with frustration and cry with anger. A few square metres is a microcosm of the whole world.

It does provide a provoking blip and one for Tiny Tuesday at that. Thanks for hosting Barking.
