Halloween Tree

We went for a beautiful walk from the Moors Centre at Danby towards Danby Castle - the late afternoon light and stillness added to the atmosphere . Stubble burning was taking place on the Moors nearby so gave colour to the sky behind this tree . But the Autumn colours themselves were glorious.
There was an excellent art exhibition inside the  centre including a pen and ink drawing of trees which I would love to have purchased . 
We had a cuppa in Fryupdale in the car with a slice of pear and apple cake from the cafe at Runswick which closes today until March . Paul was happy as he found a good selection of fossils .
