Above And Beyond...

Living Shed

The rain held off, so with a couple of spare hours,  I took a drive to St Fagans National Museum of Welsh History, Cardiff,  for a walk around their reconstructed buildings drawn from all parts of Wales over differing periods of time.

The one in the blipfoto is on Rhyd Y Car Terrace that was formerly in Merthyr. This living shed dates from 1955 and was built in the garden for extra livng space and contains a fireplace, kitchen and washing machinery. Behind it in the photo' is an Anderson shelter which most people had built in their gardens during the war in case of aerial bomb attacks. Most were turned into garden sheds after the war.  I like the colours and part of British history.

Lens used:    VM Voigtlander 15mm F4.5 mk iii lens (manual focus)
