Ducks

...nice weather for them.

Saturday was a wet, miserable day. Not a problem as I had a fair number of bits and pieces to do around the house. However, by mid-afternoon it looked as if the rain was easing up and I quite fancied getting out for some fresh air.

Caught the bus along to Kelvinhead, about 15 minutes away, from where I followed the short path down to the Forth and Clyde Canal. The plan was to walk back home via the Canal and a farm road, a walk of around 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Unfortunately, about fifteen minutes into my walk, the heavens opened and there was an almighty and persistent downpour for the next half-hour or so. A check on the bus times on my mobile phone revealed that the next bus home wouldn't be for another 45 minutes, so there was nothing else for it but to carry on, head down, hood up.

Even the tufted ducks on the Canal looked fed up.

Not a day when many photos were taken. A shower and change of clothes were definitely on the agenda when I got home.
