Grand Canale, Venice

Years ago, in the days of the Italian Lire, we were in Venice, watching an artist at work on the quay side, surprised how quickly he did work and had to come away with this painting he'd done, on canvas  and which  was on sale, at the ridiculously low price of the equivalent of 9 UK pounds...brought it back rolled up and had it framed, the frame costing more than the picture. A nice memory to look back upon of what I consider to be a magical city, to enjoy visiting
