Gondole

It has to be done, a picture of several gondole parked up on the Grand Canal. Though whereabouts on the Grand Canal I cannot remember.

Today the sun arrived and it was warm enough to sit outside, and leave our coats in the hotel. We were meeting English friends resident near Venice. They arrived late morning. Lots of walking and catching up on news. We had lunch at one of the Bacari where we enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine and ciccchetti.

The bacaro is just across a canal from one of the Venetian boatyards still building and repairing gondole (extra photo).
