Colmers Hill Dorset

Today the bird walk started in Symondsbury and wound along an old green lane at the side of Colmers  Hill - so atmospheric. Then we climbed up the hill where the view was fabulous over Dorset and so clear . We were treated to  a rainbow whist we rested at the top .
The extras are faces carved into the sandstone bordering the track . Some quite scary .
This evening we went to a lecture by a pyrotechnic expert which contained lots of flashes and bangs ! Fascinating.
