I went and got my emperor goose fix at the Wetland Centre, so that was nice... The sun was out (when I arrived) and the birds were being their uplifting selves: the emperors were being goofy (one found a bamboo stick to carry about and nibble on...), the nēnēs seemed surly, and the Bewick's swans were preening peacefully back in their usual enclosure.
