Forgot to post this Monday guess I was a tiny bit shattered after girls went on adventure... Radipole here we come hoping to capture a shot of the bearded tits. Unfortunately we were left hoping for most of the morning. Half way round seeing the reeds twitching we were hopeful until this reed bunting popped her head out... at least one reed loving birdy wanted to show their face. We went on to see a few more buntings and did catch a couple of glimpses of a few bearded tits as they flew into the reeds and hunkered down not to be seen again :(( In order to remind ourselves what we went there for we did come away with a bearded tit pin badge each.. thanks Dizzychick.
After a cuppa in the visitors centre we headed to Portland Bill where I've never been before. A lovely location and a site of little owls and short eared owls. We got chatting to a fellow photographer and he led us right to the site of the little owls where two were sat on the ledge... and I missed them! As the sun was by now dropping they decided not to show their faces again over the next ten minutes we sat there with eyes glued across the ravine. Short eared owls are also seen here too so having already had directions from the photographer we'd met we headed there but the light was fading fast and no sign other than a lone kestrel on a post. Back at the car park we captured the sunset at pulpit rock (in extras) and then it was the journey home. Great day with three friends doing what we love best. Looking forward to our next adventure.
