Scottish Power are renewing cables et al in our area...as I walked the dog around the garden this morning I realised we’d gained a new telegraph pole - I hope it’s as solid as it looks! Next week on both Monday and Wednesday we’re going to be without power all day whilst they move stuff around then from Wednesday evening until Friday afternoon we’ll be powered from a generator! Not really what we needed in December but needs must. They have dropped us off a little generator to run some extension cables from so at least we’ll have some lighting...we also get to keep the old pole which should keep the log burner fired up for a while.
