A Monkey's Tale

A Shooting Star Perhaps?

We attended Clare & Mark's baby Jack's Christening today at the beautiful Burlescombe church. The church sits high upon the hill with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.

The vicar talked of star gazing during the service & I'd like to think that this is a star, shooting across overhead in honour of Jack's Christening. Of course it could just be a Boeing 747 conveniently positioned in the sky, but I prefer the symbolism of the former.

It was a lovely service & afterwards we all rolled down the hill to the village hall for some tasty homecooked stew & veg, courtesy of Clare & Mark's family. Their sweet daughter Izzy was on fine form too, despite having head butted her Nan's loo (why not!?) & she very much liked the Pig Pink that Jenny just happened to knit up for her.

It was great to see & meet some of Jen's closest friends again & a real pleasure to have been invited to such a special occasion.
