Tejano monument

G and M were both working today so we caught a train to Downtown Austin and spent the day enjoying the sunshine and exploring at a leisurely pace.
We started with a walk up Congress Avenue to the Capitol where I blipped the monument to the Tejanos who were descended from the Spanish explorers and colonisers who settled Texas. The first extra was taken from the Great Walk - the famous promenade leading from Congress Avenue to the South entrance of Austin’s Capitol.
We met up with G at lunchtime and he showed us his new workplace - that is where the second extra was taken of us posing on a tandem that sits in the entrance for some reason. ( just using up my few remaining extras ! )
