Long Shadows

Even in the mid morning sun, grass along the shore of the inlet cast long shadows across the snow and ice. I found this little cove and shot from a shady spot into the light adding some nice definition to the mounds of snow.

It was mild, despite the wind, and I enjoyed some quiet time working my way along the edge looking for opportunities. All about were animal tracks in the snow.

I liked the shapes formed by the snow in this image, and the warm light and contrasting tones of the grass.
