Glasgow

Train through to Glasgow to see the Oscar Marzaroli exhibition at Street Level photoworks in Trongate. His photos are an amazing documentation of mainly Glasgow (but did work throughout Scotland too) from the 1950s to the 1980s of people going about their work and at leisure. My favourites were his depictions of children in the early 60s playing in the street in the Gorbals - the Golden Haired Lass and the Castlemilk Boys are two famous ones.

Then in the 80s the band Deacon Blue picked one of his images for their debut album Raintown, the west end of Glasgow in the rain with the Finnieston crane in the background.

Lunch followed then a look at a possible purchase and then train home.

I’m getting more into this retirement now.
