Waiting for the results

It was a nail-biter, with results announced on a screen above everyone's heads. 

The competition is like a spelling bee, but instead of spelling, it's reading comprehension, all books in Spanish, all questions and all answers in Spanish. It was a district-wide event for children in grades 3-6. Bella's team came in 7th of 14 teams, reminding me of a phrase from a popular American radio show, "Where all the children are above average."
