Stenton Parish Church - Brick

I decided to travel to Stenton Parish Church to see what I could make of the  building. The lighting was not brilliant with heavy shadows cast but I knew Silver Efex Pro would be able to create a reasonable monochrome with its excellent ability bring out the textural details and create moody skies. The main church is not particularly interesting being an early Victorian rebuild very much along the lines of many English Parish Churches. However, it is in a nice setting with some interesting trees around it. The remains of the old church in the graveyard are very dilapidated and overgrown with greenery but show some interesting textural detail (see extra). The old church tower was converted to a dovecot but this is now separate from the rest of the remains.

I guess I can just about make the Mono Monday challenge in that 'brick' rhymes with 'stick' and there is an abundance of brickwork in the images
