Favourite Place (widwed220120)

I am hosting Wide Wednesday this week, on the theme of a favourite place.  With the weather being just grey and drizzly nothing was going to look colourful so I have gone for this standard view of St Peter's in the village where we live (Kineton).  Converted to monochrome in Sliver Efex Pro.  The pillars on the corners of the tower (near the top) look lighter than the rest of the stone - they were rebuilt in 2016 and have not weathered down yet.

We have now lived here for three years and don't ever regret the decision.  I would describe the village as 'alive' in that walking around you will see people out and actively engaged in the local community.  There are things organised in the village hall and the sports club most day and people do actually speak to each other!  The church (St Peters) is just at the early stages of applying for renovation funds and as a part of the process must show how the building is to be made useful in the community.  At the first consultation it was good to see a variety of people taking a real interest which suggests they see a future in staying here.

I may get to blip from inside the tower later this week as the quarter hour bells are intermittent and my neighbour has asked me to take a look at the winding mechanism which is what I would call relay relay logic and mostly electro mechanical. Rather like some of the things I used to work on :-)

Looking forward to seeing your wide Wednesday entries :-)
The hosts and themes for the next few weeks are up in the community pages - enjoy!
