Swanography :)

(if there isn't such a word, I think there should be - Swan Photography) :)

Firstly, thank you so much for all your kind comments this week, I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond to you all.  Last night I took strong painkillers and had a much better night's sleep, though my neck is still bad, along with my wrist and thumb.....after I have blipped I'll have lunch, then a rest I think!

Difficult morning and I'm sorry but I've got a double rant!!  (please don't feel you have to read it)...

Rant 1

Having completed as much of the legal work for the house that I could, I needed to post it to my Dad.  So I turned up at the Post Office (within the local WH Smith) shortly after 9am.

Needed to get an envelope so I picked it up on the way to the Post Office queue.  With one person in front I thought it would be a quick morning...

But no!  Firstly I was accosted by this woman who wanted me to go to the silly 'self service' tills which I absolutely hate and can't be doing with - all that stuff that goes wrong all the time :( :(  I refused and stayed in the queue...

So I get to the person serving only to be told that I couldn't pay for the envelope there - but neither could I pay for it at the self service till - I had to go to the WH Smith till (no notice anywhere that advises the customer of that).  I complained at the WHS till, and he apologised, said he'd see what he could do...

Put my documents in the envelope and rejoined the queue - now with three people in it....not too bothered about that, I had time.

Then accosted by woman all over again, who pulled my arm and tried to make me go to self service.  Its for Special Delivery said I quite firmly wanting to stay in the queue...but she wouldn't let me stay in the queue....so I had to go to the silly self service till, which wouldn't work properly for me as usual :(     Said woman wouldn''t let me take my package and put in box, but said she had to hold it (and carried on serving the next customer).  So worried it won't get there now....if it doesn't I'll have something to say to them...so I didn't even see it safely into a bag - but her holding it under her arm serving next two customers  (and its my private paperwork) :( :(

After that, I went to the bank and could talk to a member of staff with no hastle and ask the questions I needed to, proper good (alright old fashioned to some) service :)

I then decided I'd go for a coffee and get my breath back calm down, then walked along the canal...

After all that I went to Sainsbury's and did my shopping in a remarkably quiet shop!

Rant 2

When I was going into Sainsbury's because there is only one entrance on the ground floor I went upstairs in the car park and down in the lift. ... (They have stupid 'travelators' but I hate them and am pretty convinced that the trolley pulling me wrist has made my wrist and thumb bad some weeks ago so I haven't used one since).

Coming out however, went to same lift and it was then out of order.  No matter - there are another two lifts.  Apparently the lift into the cafe was out of order, so I went up in the one in clothing....

Only to find that I wasn't able to go through the cafe to the car park (the only way without using said 'travelator' things, due to them replacing flooring there....  Well if I'd been told that downstairs, I would have requested someone from their staff help me on the travelator in the first place!

Anyway, very thankfully I happened upon a member of staff called  Angela.  Thank goodness for a bit of sense - as you can imagine I was boiling up by then, having gone through post office business this morning...

Angela very kindly said she would take the trolley on the down 'travelator' thing and up the other one so I could at least get my stuff back to the car and come home...PHEW!!

End of Rant, big apologies but I needed to get it all off my chest...

I then found out she was the Clothing Manager, what a lovely lady to help me and took my comments on board (and appreciated what a 'trolley dragging, or jolting on the 'travelator' did to one's wrists) :)

Extremely thankful to be home and starting to relax now...

Happy Saturday folks :)
