A foggy walk

Even on a walk in thick fog,
with no dog, you can chalk up
some talking points:

a clump of snowdrops,
their eyes closed tight to
shut out the damp grey,

a pocket of moss,
rich green from much rain,
enhancing a bare branch,

and the tiniest, earliest
blackthorn blossom:
spring invading winter.
