Quod oculus meus videt

The Pulse @ The Bull Ring

It was forecast another lovely start to the day and it didn't disappoint.  I started off on a walk at 7:30 from the beginning of the Walsall Canal, finally arriving into Birmingham over 5 hours and almost 19 miles later.  I even took in the Soho Loop (yes we have a Soho in Birmingham but not with the same types of entertainment), going passed Winson Green Prison and The City Hospital.

I was fair cream-crackered by the end, but was determined to meet the wide Wednesday challenge of a low angle (thanks for that, the knees aren't quite like they used to be and it was fairly uncomfortable to get down low for these shots - getting back up afterwards was even more interesting!).

I'm pretty sure I've seen this light installation on the TV in other parts of the country, so whether this is an original or a copy, I'm unsure.  I liked where they've put it, between the two sections of the Bull Ring and pointing towards St Martin's Church.  Luckily they'd put a barrier up to stop people walking down it during the day so I got an unobstructed view.

I've shared the view looking the other way as an extra.

Day miles 19.9 miles, Total miles 173.4 miles
