Lehigh Valley Zoo ....

..... Chuckwalla lizards.

As today was a very special day in history (02/02/2020) and at the Lehigh Valley Zoo we decided to go there this morning.  We were supposed to get snow starting around 3:00 pm so we got there earlier than normal.  The snow actually started around 11:30 am while we were still at the zoo!

The zoo was having a birthday party for the younger of their two Masai giraffes ... Tatu is turning 4 years old! Sadly, the line to get in to see him and sign his birthday card was too long for us to wait .... so we didn't actually get to see him or the other older giraffe ... Murphy.

But we still had fun seeing all the other animals.  We hadn't been in the reptile house for a while so we popped in there for a change.  And immediately our camera lens fogged up!  But after being in there for a few minutes everything cleared up and I was able to get a few shots.  These are Chuckwalla lizards playing piggy back!  I love them!

Today marks a very special day in history .... and I'm not talking about the Super Bowl being played tonight!  The date when written out in the number form is 02022020 ... a palindrome.  Here are some more fun facts:
1. Sunday is the 33rd day of the year, which is followed by 333 more days.
2. The previous eight-digit palindrome like this was 11/11/1111, 909 years ago!
3. The next palindromic date will be 12/12/2121 ... 101 years from now.
4. And the next one after that won't be until 03/03/3030!
