Frosty Day

We haven't had frost for a really long time...from looking back at my journal it was November 24th! Since then we've had a lovely December (I was playing golf through the month) followed by the rainiest January for many years. Then this morning, cold, damp, frosty, bone-chilling! 

In the garden this morning there was, of course, a lot of frost. These tulips are way too far ahead of themselves, time-wise, so they're wearing a lovely dusting of frost. Hopefully they'll be happy until the weather warms up again. Overnight lows are predicted in the low 30's (0 C) and day-time temps in the mid-40's (7 C) for the foreseeable future. Brrr!
